1992 Isuzu Rodeo

Only a year after its initial offering, the 1992 Isuzu Rodeo has very few changes
made in it. It has garnered enough success and popularity to let the original
specifications stay. The Rodeo has been the flag carrier in Isuzu's midsize Sport
Utility Vehicle segment. With its successful run last year, Isuzu felt that this
steel work horse could still make the same success it had in the previous year
and its still fresh smelling debut is enough to continue the rave it has began.
Base entry level is the 2-wheel-drive Rodeo S, outfitted with a 4-cylinder engine
and 5-speed manual shift. GM's 3.1-liter V6 was standard on the 4-wheel-drive
Rodeo S, as well as 2WD and 4WD models in midrange XS and the top-level LS trim.
The V6 also is optional in the 2WD S. All but the basic Rodeo could get an optional
4-speed automatic transmission. The 4x4 models uses a part-time, on-demand 4WD
system and rides larger tires on 7-inch aluminum wheels. Automatic-locking front
hubs are standard on all but the 4WD S model, which uses manual hubs. All-disc
brakes have rear antilock control.
