1996 Isuzu Rodeo
The 1996 Isuzu Rodeo is the fifth model of its kind. No major re-design has been
done through the years and only bits and pieces of add-ons or modifications have
been done. The ride is firm yet surprisingly comfortable, as the absorbent suspension
handily soaks up just about every flaw on paved roads. Braking distances are acceptable,
though a 2WD Rodeo turned out to be prone to abrupt front-wheel lockup.

Road noise is prominent though at highway speeds. Introduced after the start
of the model year, '96 Rodeos got a more-powerful V6 engine, a new shift-on-the-fly
4-wheel drive, and available for 1996 is a 4-wheel antilock braking. The 1996
Isuzu Rodeo comes in two trims, the S and the LS. The base entry S is fitted with
a 4 cylinder 2.6 liter engine that spews out 120 horsepower. In the 4WD though,
the S gets an upgrade with a V6 engine that's 3.2 liters and 190 horsepower. The
V6 is also the standard on the LS trim. The Isuzu Rodeo is an amazing Sport Utility
Vehicle which could take you straight from the office to your little personal
hideaway in any corner of the world.
