2000 Isuzu Rodeo

The 2000 Isuzu Rodeo is in a dire need of a psychiatrist. Its leading a double
life, a schizoid. One moment it's a law abiding, nimble city vehicle and in a
push of a button it's a mean, tough off road warrior. Rodeo's have long established
a reputation as a durable and solid machine. Enhancements and new features to
the 2000 models make them even superior. Changes comprise of a restyled front
end, improved seating, and new colors. Even more noteworthy are a new computer-controlled
suspension system and the introduction of what Isuzu states is the longest powertrain
warranty offered by any automaker in the US. The Rodeo is obtainable in three
different trim levels, the S, LS and LSE.
Two engines are available. All models with the exception of the base model come
equipped with a 3.2-liter V6. A four-speed automatic transmission is an option
on S and LS models, but comes standard on LSE. Isuzu's 2.2-liter 4-cylinder engine
is only available on the base S model with two-wheel drive and a five-speed manual
gearbox. Overall, the Rodeo proffers a stable ride and responsive handling, an
advantage of its ladder frame with eight cross members and box section main rails.
Steel tubes in the doors, in addition to providing better passenger protection,
also make the body more rigid, adding to its inherent stability and solid handling.
The Rodeo is such an underrated midsize SUV that's getting a lot of attention
lately and will soon change that image.
