Isuzu Rodeo Engine

Truly the heart of the Isuzu Rodeo and all Isuzu trucks and SUV's is the engine.
Isuzu has developed an engine that really provides the power sufficient enough
to do its job. In its debut in 1990 the base entry 2-wheel-drive S sported a 4-cylinder
engine and 5-speed manual shift. GM's 3.1-liter V6 was standard on the 4-wheel-drive
S, as well as 2WD and 4WD models in midrange XS and top-level LS trim.
The V6 also was optional in the 2WD S. In 1998 the Rodeo got a major facelift
and all the options were revised, including the engine. A 4-cylinder engine was
standard on the 2-wheel-drive Rodeo S, while a 205-horsepower, 3.2-liter V6 was
standard on the LS and available on the S it is also an option for the base entry
on several packages. Today all Isuzu Rodeos are equipped with a V6 engine to cater
to the demands of its consumers.
